One of the many dessert crepes served at Crepeville.
Bright colors, comfortable seating and large menu boards help to create a casual, relaxed atomosphere in the restaurant.
Chocolate crepe sat undisturbed. The strawberries were drowning in the Nutella and it also was buried in whipped cream. Completely relaxed, we rolled out of the restaurant and made our way home to the sofa and the TiVo.

I’d like to say that the story ended here and that I spent the next week leading a healthy, low-carb lifestyle, but that’s not exactly what happened. Later in the week, we were explaining the virtues of crepes and Nutella to my mother-in-law, Beverly Sanchez, who lives next door to us, when we decided it would be better to have her try it for herself. So, we set off for another night of much needed research for the magazine.

We had tried the Strawberry Nutella and the Banana Chocolate, but we hadn’t tried the Banana Nutella. Beverly ordered the Apple Caramel crepe which was wonderful with tart apples and warm, creamy caramel. We, of course, enjoyed the Banana Nutella, but I’ve decided that next time I’m going to try a chocolate crepe, no fruit, and ask for double chocolate.

I hope you all appreciate the sacrifice Jon and I make to bring you the results of this very important research about our town of Davis. When you see us next time around town and think, “Geez, it looks like they’ve put on weight!” Just blame it on the wonderful crepes and our dedication to you, our readers.
